Registered Nurse (RN) - Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | On-Call Rotation Required
Salary: $70,000 annually + On-Call Pay
West Texas Centers is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) team. In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality nursing services to individuals receiving Home & Community-Based Services (HCS), Texas Home Living (TxHmL), and General Revenue (GR) services while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve the lives of those we serve.
What You'll Do
Provide nursing services in compliance with HHSC, HCS, TxHmL, and GR standards.
Perform health assessments, annual nursing evaluations, medication reviews, and health monitoring.
Coordinate medical care, referrals, and follow-up treatment.
Administer and monitor medications and physician-ordered treatments.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, reports, and service logs.
Participate in Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings and interdisciplinary team staffing.
Conduct staff education and training.
Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs).
Coordinate medical and non-medical services for individuals receiving IDD services.
Develop nursing procedures and assist with program planning.
Monitor medical appointments and ensure continuity of care.
Administer employee TB (Mantoux) skin tests.
Participate in the nursing on-call rotation and assist with after-hours triage.
Assist with recruitment and retention of nursing staff.
Travel throughout the service region as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Proof of automobile insurance.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
