# of Openings:  1 Auria is looking to hire an Algorithm Software Engineer to support the C2BMC program. This role is ONSITE in Huntsville, AL. As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will be a key contributor to the design and development of Java-based mathematical algorithms supporting C2BMC. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: • Will help generate software design artifacts, implement Java-based software changes, support design and code reviews, and support software testing and the resolution of issues arising from software testing • Will be involved in presenting the developed designs • Will actively participate in Agile planning and execution using established C2BMC processes WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start • Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs • Must have experience with the following technical skills: full life-cycle development, Java application development, Unix/Linux, software implementation of mathematical algorithms, Agile development, MATLAB, DevSecOps, and systems integration • Experience with strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify the root cause, and recommend a solution • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, can work independently, and thrives in a highly dynamic environment • Must work with cross-disciplinary teams—like Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment, and Warfighter Support—to ensure mission success WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:  • Applicants with a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application are highly preferred. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period • Experienced in the full life-cycle development of complex mathematical algorithms (including tracking, correlation, guidance, battle management, and radar management) for Java-based military applications • Experience developing software within an Agile development process, decomposing work, and providing active leadership during sprint planning • Experience developing software in a structured, process-driven, integrated team environment • Experience developing software within a DevSecOps framework for Java-based applications on Unix/Linux platforms • Experience with Git/GitLab, Eclipse, Maven/Gradle, and SonarQube or similar toolsets • Experience developing automated unit tests and verifying requirements • Experience reviewing system engineering artifacts such as ICDs, use cases, and sequence diagrams • Creating software design artifacts and presenting design materials and test results to internal and external customers • The candidate may also participate in implementing MATLAB algorithms before integrating them into tactical Java software • Experience in the BMDS domain is preferred • Experience in developing Command and Control system applications and conducting software integration testing is also advantageous PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $110,000 - $125,000 APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 5th, 2026 THE AURIA TEAM: Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers.
