The candidates must complete a coding challenge and be able come to Birmingham for a f2f interview. The process: Consultant completes coding challenge, does one f2f interview, then there is an offer.

Backend Java Developer and UI Developer

Overview:

Role: Senior Developer

Degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline - preferred

6+ years in Java Application Development (Java/J2EE/EJB)

Proficient in SQL Database Development (also DB2)

Comprehensive SDLC experience (requirements, architecture, design, testing and deployment)

Understand and be able to explain common OO Design patterns. Knowledge of front controller pattern a strong +Web Service Development (XML/SOAP/REST)

Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)

Knowledge of Cobol / CICS a plus (Migrating legacy code to java and native stored procedures)

Excellent communication skills

The Job Description:

Develop applications using JAVA framework with Sencha (Ext & Sencha Touch) front end technologies.

Experience Mobile Application Development

Knowledge and solid experience with open source frameworks such as Jquery, requireJS, EXT.

Contributions to Open Source Projects

Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum

Advanced knowledge and experience with DB2 & WebSphere application server.
