Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Gen AI & Strategic Initiatives team. You will be a critical early member as we drive two key areas of AI integration to 1) create new types of Gen AI native games and gameplay experiences; and 2) enhance productivity of internal teams through adoption of best practices, tools and creation of agentic solutions.
You will architect next-generation AI solutions that will drive AI adoption for both external game developers and internal engineering teams. You will be a hands-on builder who designs, develops, and operates the infrastructure to support both proprietary and third party models. Your expertise in distributed systems and API design will enable you to build resilient, performant solutions that abstract the complexity of multiple AI providers behind unified interfaces. You will build intelligent agents and AI-powered solutions across Engineering, Marketing Technology (Martech), and Business Intelligence. On the Martech side, you'll design systems that leverage Gen AI to optimize campaign workflows, personalize customer engagement, automate content generation, and enhance marketing analytics - helping Luna's growth and marketing teams work smarter and faster.
We are looking for a highly collaborative team player with a developer-focused, customer-obsessed mindset, strong ownership mentality. Ambiguity motivates you to invent and solve problems. You are a passionate advocate for technological innovation who can influence cultural transformation and fundamentally shift how teams approach software development. You thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and are comfortable owning and executing product initiatives from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity to excel in a dynamic, scrappy environment where you'll shape the future of gaming with AI.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive platform architecture decisions - Work closely with GenAI leadership to understand model requirements and translate them into scalable platform capabilities; contribute to technical design reviews and architectural decisions.
- Partner directly with game developers and platform teams - Collaborate with internal and external gaming teams to understand specific use cases, translate requirements into technical solutions, and optimize foundational models through fine-tuning and more.
- Build and operate high-scale API infrastructure - Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable APIs using Native AWS which provide unified access to multiple AI service providers including Bedrock, SageMaker, and vendors like ElevenLabs.
- Launch cross-functional agents - Identify key use cases to increase productivity and partner with domain experts to create agentic workflows and systems.
- Evaluate & optimize performance - Design caching strategies, implement request optimization, and build monitoring systems to deliver low-latency and cost efficient AI powered solutions.
- Lead internal GenAI adoption and evangelization - Champion adoption of GenAI tools across internal teams, conduct technical workshops, and drive productivity improvements through effective implementation of AI capabilities.
- Ensure enterprise-grade security, compliance and responsible AI is the backbone of all solutions.
