What You'll Do

  • Own a robotics project from beginning to end - design, develop, prototype, and test
  • Example projects could include designing a mechanical automated system or coding an AI agent to control a robot
  • Collaborate directly with customers by bringing prototypes to job sites, gathering feedback, and refining real-world applications
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to seamlessly integrate robotics into Genie's product ecosystem
  • Explore advanced technologies, including motion control, sensor fusion, and AI-based perception systems, to enhance product capabilities

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing an ABET accredited engineering bachelor's degree or higher in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar field or a bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Able to work full-time 40 hours per week for 6 months, in-person in Redmond, WA
  • Proven experience in robotics, mechatronics, programming, electrical engineering, or automation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability and interest in working in a team environment

Nice to Haves

  • Interest in joining the Engineering Leadership Development Program after graduation
  • Previous robotics internships or club experience (ie. Robotics Competition, First Robotics Club)
  • Are adaptable, innovative, and proactive
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

The compensation for this position is $26/hr for undergraduate interns and $28/hr for graduate or returning interns. This position is eligible for holiday pay and, if desired, medical insurance.
