ABOUT GEE
Global Educational Excellence (GEE) operates a network of charter schools across Southeast Michigan focused on academic achievement and community. Our staff benefit from structured mentorship, weekly professional development, and a collaborative school culture.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Secondary Teacher delivers high school-level instruction in a content area, preparing students for academic achievement, career readiness, and postsecondary success.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate secondary subject-area endorsement, or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
  • Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach rigorous, standards-aligned courses in the assigned subject area
  • Use assessment data to inform instruction and track student progress toward graduation requirements
