This is a physical, hands‑on role working directly with the hardware and infrastructure that powers KoiReader's Facilities Intelligence Platform — cameras, sensors, lenses, edge servers, robots, networking equipment, and more.

This is NOT a software development role. You'll be in our lab and occasionally in the field, setting up, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting real hardware in real environments. You may be required to drive vehicles in customer premises to help implement our hardware AI products. You'll work closely with our U.S. and offshore product teams, so flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate collaboration across time zones.

This is a full‑time employment offer to join our growing Professional Services / Operations team.

What You'll Do
  • Set up, configure, and test machine vision hardware including cameras, lenses, sensors, and edge computing devices
  • Perform device‑level and OS‑level configurations on edge servers and embedded systems
  • Install, mount, and calibrate vision hardware in lab and client site environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and integration issues across the full device stack
  • Configure and manage networking equipment (switches, routers, PoE hardware, VLANs, etc.) in lab settings
  • Coordinate with offshore product and engineering teams on hardware validation and deployment tasks
  • Support client site visits and on‑site hardware deployments as needed
  • Maintain detailed lab documentation including setup guides, configuration logs, and test results
  • Assist in evaluating new cameras, sensors, and edge hardware for performance and compatibility
  • Help Pack, Ship, Return products from our Dallas center to customer locations
  • Follow the established Machine Vision lab process to ensure inventory is accurate and the working environment is optimal
  • Visit Customer Facilities to help coordinate and implement our products
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, IT, Mechatronics, or a related hands‑on technical field
  • Comfort working with physical hardware and tools — setting up, cabling, configuring, and troubleshooting devices
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, routers, PoE)
  • Familiarity with Linux OS configuration at the device level
  • Strong attention to detail, a problem‑solving mindset, and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours to collaborate with offshore teams when needed
  • Must be located in or able to commute to Dallas, TX (daily on‑site presence required)
  • Willingness to travel to client sites in the Dallas area or other cities as occasionally needed

Nice to Have:

  • 1-3 years experience
  • Hands‑on experience with IP cameras, RTSP streams, or video hardware
  • Exposure to edge computing platforms (NVIDIA Jetson, Intel NUC, or similar)
  • Familiarity with basic networking tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Experience racking/cabling servers or setting up AV/security camera systems
  • Prior lab, field technician, or IT support experience
What You'll Get
  • Hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge AI hardware deployed at Fortune 50/500 companies
  • Direct mentorship from experienced hardware and systems engineers
  • Exposure to enterprise‑grade physical AI infrastructure deployment at scale
  • A dynamic, collaborative startup environment in the heart of Dallas
  • Fast‑paced learning in one of the fastest growing sectors in the industry (Physical AI)
