United has installed over 25,000 miles of our proprietary Tite Liner® system from 2 inch to 52 inch diameter pipelines for systems with operating pressures up to 7,500 psi. United provides our services to clients across the United States and has also worked in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Job Description

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, identifying mechanical issues through inspections and diagnostics, completing repairs and test drives, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Compensation

$23.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, both in the shop and during road service calls.
  • Assess vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic testing to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts.
  • Identify and correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, or systems.
  • Verify vehicle performance and operational safety by conducting test drives and adjusting vehicle controls and systems as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion/emissions control standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mechanic or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and safely.
  • Ability to perform shop and road service repairs as needed.
  • Heavy equipment, welding, CDL, or ASE experience is a plus.

Safety and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, or reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, or moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe footwear.
  • Ability to climb ladders or access elevated work areas when needed.
