Job description

Production Supervisor- Molding
Manufacturing | Injection Molding
Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Supervisor-Molding as a multi shift leader to lead disciplined execution across molding operations and provide consistent leadership coverage across shifts. This role is responsible for setting standards, driving accountability, and ensuring safe, high quality production from startup through shift handoff.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands molding operations, can command the floor, and can align multiple shifts to the same expectations and performance level.
________________________________________
Key Responsibilities
•    Lead and supervise molding operations across multiple shifts
•    Own shift startups, changeovers, and production readiness
•    Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards
•    Set clear expectations and drive consistent execution across all crews
•    Coach, develop, and hold molding technicians and operators accountable
•    Address downtime, scrap, staffing, and quality issues in real time
•    Ensure effective shift handoffs with clear communication of priorities and issues
•    Support troubleshooting of molding processes, tooling, and equipment
•    Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve recurring issues
•    Maintain visible floor presence and hands on leadership
________________________________________
What Success Looks Like
•    Shifts start on time and prepared
•    Standards are consistent regardless of crew or shift
•    Downtime and defects are addressed—not passed forward
•    Operators know expectations and follow them
•    The molding area runs with discipline, focus, and predictability
________________________________________
Required Qualifications
•    5+ years of molding experience in a manufacturing environment
•    2+ years of supervisory or lead experience
•    Strong understanding of molding processes, equipment, and production flow
•    Proven ability to lead teams across different shifts
•    Comfortable holding standards and having direct performance conversations
•    Strong problem solving and decision making skills
•    Willingness to work early mornings, nights, or rotating schedules as needed
________________________________________
Preferred Background
•    Injection molding experience strongly preferred (others considered)
•    Experience leading start ups, changeovers, and recovery from downtime
•    Background in high accountability manufacturing environments
•    Technical or trade education a plus
________________________________________
Leadership Style We’re Looking For
•    Calm, confident, and firm
•    Consistent across all shifts—no favoritism, no drift
•    Leads from the floor, not the desk
•    Drives execution through standards and follow through
•    Builds toughness and pride in the operation through results
________________________________________
Why This Role Matters
This position is critical to stability, consistency, and culture in molding operations. The Molding Supervisor – Multi Shift Leader ensures every crew runs to the same standard and every shift contributes to a strong overall operation.
