Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive ID care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities

Provide infectious disease consults in long-term care settings

Assess and manage infections including HIV, Hep B and C, pneumonia, UTIs, sepsis risk, wound infections, and multidrug-resistant organisms

Order and interpret cultures, blood work, and imaging studies

Prescribe and manage antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral antibiotics Collaborate with infectious disease physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Monitor infection control practices and support antimicrobial stewardship programs

Educate staff and families on infection prevention and treatment plans

Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)

Active and unrestricted NP license DEA license required CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)

Master's degree in Nursing (NP applicants) Graduation from an accredited NP program

Preferred: Experience in ID (training available if not) Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC - training provided)

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
