Interns typically assist professional photographers with shoots, editing, equipment management, and administrative tasks. The goal is to develop practical skills, build a professional portfolio, and understand the day-to-day operations of a photography business or studio. These internships can take place in various settings, such as studios, media companies, or with independent photographers, and may be paid or unpaid.

You may help set up equipment, manage lighting, and support photographers during client sessions or editorial shoots. Many internships also involve administrative tasks like cataloging images or updating portfolios.
