We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Junior Cloud Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our cloud computing infrastructure. This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals who have completed studies or internships in the field of IT cloud support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support, including troubleshooting, incident management, and resolution.
  • Creating, deploying, and maintaining of OS images through Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Developing and implementing Software Update Schedule including patch management and software distribution tools to ensure updates are rolled out in a timely manner
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to optimize system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior IT professionals to analyze and resolve complex technical problems related to cloud-based applications and services.
  • Respond to user inquiries and support requests, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Document support activities, including technical issues, solutions, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date records.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and proactively propose improvements to enhance the efficiency and security of cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the development and deployment of new cloud-based projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of platforms, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.

Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in the field of computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous IT support experience working in a technology / systems department.
  • Experience administering in an Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 environments
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and end-users.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, ITIL) are a plus.
