Job Overview

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Actuarial Intern contributes to and supports the actuarial group using knowledge from relevant course work and the actuarial exam system.ย  They will apply their knowledge to assist others in the pursuit of solving business problems and answering business questions.

Job Responsibilities

    • Research, extract, and manipulate complex data from relevant sources
    • Identify relationships, problems/issues, and assess data quality

    • Perform analysis/reviews as assigned
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy
    • Identify and test underlying assumptions when appropriate

    • Implement identified opportunities for automation of routine tasks

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Second or third year of study, majoring with the Actuarial pattern of either Commerce or Science degree
  • Pursuing FCIA designation

    • Ability to apply knowledge of actuarial science, mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to problems in insurance
