Job description

Build systems that keep industry moving

Our operation relies on expertly installed and maintained mechanical piping. In this role, you’ll turn plans into reality—fabricating precise pipe networks, safeguarding steam and hydraulic power, and making the call when a component can be saved or must be replaced to protect uptime.

Your mission
  • Install, assemble, fabricate, service, and repair mechanical piping systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials, routing, and installation strategies that maximize efficiency.
  • Lay out, cut, and fabricate runs of pipe with valves, traps, regulators, and related components from drawings or verbal guidance.
  • Maintain and repair valves, regulators, and traps across diverse applications.
  • Support critical utilities: high-pressure hydraulic systems; boilers with associated piping and accessories; steam-jacketed pressure vessels; sewage plant and clarifier; and linseed/hydraulic oil separators.
  • Decide whether removed equipment should be salvaged or scrapped based on condition and risk.
  • Partner with other maintenance crafts to solve problems quickly and safely.
How you’ll execute
  • Use professional trade tools: hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, chisels, levels, and more.
  • Operate transportation vehicles and an overhead crane to position materials.
  • Apply proper lubrication practices with oil cans and grease guns.
Environment & conditions
  • Work at heights and within confined spaces when required.
  • Perform independently with minimal supervision or as part of a maintenance team.
  • Adapt to varied conditions: hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy areas across the plant.
Credentials to succeed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Skills assessment completion.
  • Flexibility for shift and rotating schedules, plus daily/weekend overtime and call-outs to reduce downtime, execute preventive maintenance, and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • At least 4 years of manufacturing or heavy industrial experience in a skilled trade.
Strengths we value
  • Brake & Suspension Systems
  • HVAC Maintenance
  • Boiler Troubleshooting
  • Boiler Operation
  • Diesel & Heavy Equipment Systems
  • Crane & Lifting Equipment Systems
  • Blueprint Reading
