Your Impact

As a Senior Engineering Specialist, you will play a vital role in integrating and sustaining Fly-By-Wire and Secondary Flight Control Systems for advanced aircraft programs while preparing future platforms for next-generation performance and efficiency. Your expertise will directly influence aircraft safety, certification success, product innovation, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the integration of FBW and Secondary Flight Control Systems on aircraft platforms

  • Support development of concepts, design philosophies, and system architecture with suppliers

  • Perform and review feasibility studies, technical analyses, and trade-off evaluations

  • Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements for flight control systems

  • Prepare and review system requirements, test procedures, and technical documentation

  • Execute test rig and aircraft testing activities

  • Review and prepare certification reports and compliance documentation

  • Troubleshoot in-service aircraft issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with ARP4754 development processes and aviation standards

  • Support lifecycle cost analysis and future aircraft development initiatives

  • Coordinate with suppliers, regulatory authorities, final assembly lines, completion centers, and flight test teams

  • Travel occasionally to support operations in Montreal, Toronto, Wichita, and supplier locations

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the aerospace industry

  • Direct involvement in the definition and certification of at least one Fly-By-Wire and/or Secondary Flight Control System

  • Strong knowledge of system definition, integration, and certification processes

  • Understanding of aircraft interfaces including electrical, hydraulic, avionics, and auto-flight systems

  • Knowledge of Part 25 certification processes

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments

  • Fluent in English and French

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of electrical and hydraulic flight control actuators

  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow

  • Familiarity with ADAMS, CATIA, or related engineering design tools

  • Experience with requirements management tools

  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and customer-focused mindset

Pay Details: $81.46 to $117.26 per hour
