They are searching for a forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer to help build the future of capital markets infrastructure by utilizing expertise in low-level programming and collaborating with customers.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Utilize your expertise in low-level programming as we advance the state of the art in high performance computing and electronic trading
โ€ข Provide the necessary guidance and hands-on delivery of the design, development, and debugging of C applications that run on multi-core Linux systems to process large amounts of high-throughput, low-latency network data
โ€ข Be a key contributor to our process and team culture, continually iterating on how we build products, not just on what we build
โ€ข Lead and mentor software engineers, encouraging our culture of continuous learning and collaboration
โ€ข Collaborate directly with customers that are using the products that you develop
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข MS/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related
โ€ข 5+ years of relevant work experience
โ€ข Strong C programming skills
โ€ข Linux application development expertise
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to work through complex engineering obstacles and proven success leading engineering teams to efficient and accurate solution to these problems
โ€ข Experience defining test scenarios and test cases to ensure quality of team deliverables
โ€ข Passionate about writing software that is clean, simple, and elegant
โ€ข Proficiency with concurrency and multi-threaded architectures
โ€ข Expertise with socket programming and TCP
โ€ข Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Shell
โ€ข Comfortable being onsite in Needham, MA 5 days a week
