Job description

Technical Account Manager
Location: Hoboken, NJ
Division: Revenue
Department: Business Development
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
About Us
Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) (Nasdaq: QUBT) is an innovative, integrated photonics company that provides accessible and affordable quantum machines to the world today. QCi products are designed to operate at room temperature and low power at an affordable cost. The Company's portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.
Position Description
As a Technical Account Manager, you will support customer engagement, adoption, and technical alignment for our advanced photonics-driven and high-compute solutions. You will work closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams to help customers understand the capabilities of our technology, guide them through technical evaluations, and ensure successful integration into real-world workflows.
In this role, you will serve as a technical ambassador-educating customers on how our solutions can accelerate compute-intensive and optimization-focused applications, assisting with hands-on technical scoping, and supporting the end-to-end customer lifecycle. You will play a key role in helping organizations evaluate, deploy, and scale advanced technologies built on photonics and high-performance computing architectures.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, supporting product evaluations, integration efforts, and ongoing adoption of advanced photonics and computing technologies.
  • Understand customer use cases-particularly those involving compute-intensive workloads and optimization problems-and help map them to appropriate solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure smooth onboarding, technical alignment, and successful deployments.
  • Support the creation and delivery of technical presentations, demos, proof-of-concepts, and product recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of customer environments, technical needs, feedback, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Assist in building and managing an opportunity pipeline in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, customer workshops, and technical sessions.
  • Support contract discussions and technical scoping for customer engagements.
  • Monitor industry trends across photonics, high-performance computing, and optimization technologies.
  • Expected to drive double-digit millions in annual revenue through new customer acquisitions and partnerships.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Master's degree strongly preferred (Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Optical Engineering, or related technical field). Bachelor's acceptable with strong relevant experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in photonics, optics, advanced computing, or related high-tech environments.
  • Experience working with or supporting complex technical products-preferably involving high-compute systems, photonics-based hardware, or optimization technologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with customers on real-world technical challenges.
  • Experience supporting product adoption, customer technical success, or pre-/post-sales engineering activities.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Strong organizational abilities with comfort managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technical account management, solutions engineering, or technical customer success roles.
  • Background in photonics-based systems, optical components, sensors, or high-performance computing.
  • Familiarity with technical sales processes, product evaluations, or customer integration cycles.
  • Exposure to optimization problems, HPC workflows, or computational modeling environments.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, innovative technology companies.
