What's the opportunity?

We're looking for a motivated Software Engineer to help design, build, and support enterprise AI services at RBC. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your software engineering skills, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to production AI infrastructure that supports meaningful business and customer outcomes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of AI services under the guidance of senior engineers

  • Building reliable APIs, backend services, and integration components that support AI and ML applications

  • Learning and applying software engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development principles

  • Participating in code reviews, design discussions, and team ceremonies to improve technical understanding and delivery quality

  • Collaborating with infrastructure, platform, and ML teams to support reliable AI systems across cloud and on-premise environments

  • Writing unit tests, integration tests, and documentation to support maintainable and high-quality software

  • Troubleshooting defects, supporting production issues, and learning observability practices such as logging, monitoring, and alerting

  • Growing practical experience with modern engineering tools, cloud platforms, containerization, and AI service development

You're our ideal candidate if you have:

  • 0-2 years of software engineering experience, including internships, co-op placements, academic projects, or equivalent practical experience
