Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm; Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: $18.00-$25.00/hr

In this role, you will:

Responsible for Quality Assurance, keeping the integrity of the specimen and guaranteeing each specimen complies with CAP (College of American Pathology) and specimen processing regulations implemented by the New York State Department of Health and CLIA. To be successful as a Quality Assurance Representative you should be incredibly thorough and able to help our company maintain the highest quality standards.

  • Responsible for generating and sorting the QA report on a daily basis.

  • Communicate QA issues with external clients in an effort to obtain correct information to process the case.

  • Prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Ensure to Resolve and document all QA cases with a proper and clear Resolution.

  • Communicate with the Sales Force when added assistance is needed to resolve QA issue.

  • Utilize Fax Authorization Forms to retrieve pertinent information needed to resolve a QA case that must be CAP (College of American Pathology) compliant before processing. Ensure fax authorizations are filled out correctly and returned promptly.

  • Follow up with pathologist and the VP of QA when unsure of how to proceed with a given situation. Communicate repeat issues to Sales Representative.

  • Follow up with the lab supervisors when discrepancies occur on accessioned and grossed cases.

  • Contact, communicate, and verify all site discrepancies between requisitions and slides discovered by pathologist to the external client.

  • Return specimen to clients when necessary using FedEx website and document returns and cancelations.

  • Communicate all incorrect and unnecessary flags with management

  • Previous experience with customer service

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
