JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media & Content Marketing Manager serves as a lead storyteller and digital content creator for BGCAZ. This role is responsible for proactively identifying stories across Club sites, capturing authentic moments through photo/video/social content, and translating those experiences into compelling digital storytelling that drives awareness, engagement, advocacy, fundraising, and youth enrollment.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develops and executes engaging content across TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms
  • Regularly visits Club sites to proactively identify stories, capture media, and showcase authentic youth experiences
  • Produces compelling short-form videos, photography, captions, interviews, and real-time content
  • Creates content tailored to families, teens, donors, policymakers, community partners, and supporters
  • Maintains a consistent, mission-aligned voice and visual identity across all channels
  • Manages social media engagement including comments, messages, community interaction, and responsiveness
  • Partners with youth, staff, interns, and departments to gather and amplify organizational stories
  • Partners with Resource Development and leadership teams to support fundraising campaigns (Arizona Tax Credit, Giving Tuesday, donor stewardship, events)
  • Creates persuasive digital storytelling that supports advocacy efforts and positions BGCAZ as a leading voice for youth in Arizona
  • Educates the public, donors, community influencers, and policymakers on the impact of out-of-school programming
  • Supports community events, media opportunities, and stakeholder initiatives through social and digital content.
  • Supports digital advertising efforts across Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, and related platforms.
  • Assists with content boosting and targeting strategies to increase awareness, enrollment, engagement, and fundraising.
  • Monitors social and digital KPIs, providing regular performance reporting and actionable recommendations.
  • Stays informed on platform trends, emerging tools, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
  • Assists with organization-wide marketing initiatives, newsletters, campaign assets, graphic requests, and communication projects.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors and creative partners as needed.
  • Upholds best practices related to brand standards, youth privacy, digital accessibility, and content approvals.
  • Mentors and collaborates with interns or youth.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Consistent, high-quality social and digital content, and video production and editing
  • Strong storytelling that authentically reflects Club experiences
  • Proven ability to instill trust and confidence in stakeholders
  • Solutions-oriented thinker with seasoned judgment

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS - Required

  • 2+ years of experience in social media, digital content, communications, marketing, storytelling, or related fields preferred
  • Strong portfolio of social media, photography, video, writing, or digital storytelling work
  • Experience creating engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or YouTube
  • Comfortable capturing and editing photo/video content in dynamic environments
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or digital marketing tools preferred
  • Experience with paid social media, Google Ads, or digital analytics is a plus
  • Strong writing, communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing projects, and adapt quickly
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly to Club locations
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends for events or activations


WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING:

  • Travel required between BGCAZ Branches, schools and community sites
