  • Previous internship or work experience as an entry level engineer with 0-2+ years' experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in software engineering through academic coursework, internships, co-op assignments, personal projects, open-source contributions, or related technical experience.
  • Foundational programming skills in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and practices, including source control systems (Git), integrated development environments (IDEs), debugging, and code reviews.
  • Exposure to software quality practices such as unit testing, automated testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Foundational knowledge of web, mobile, API, or service-based application development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and services, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Exposure to modern development practices such as Agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps concepts is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of databases, including SQL and relational database concepts. Exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new technologies, tools, and business domains quickly.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and business partners.
