Job description

Overview

As a GIS Analyst for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll provide technical and analytical support for our diverse consulting practice. You will work closely with scientific professionals to develop GIS data sets, exhibits, and web applications, and you will be managing data across several project disciplines, such as environmental, ecological, and solid waste. You'll gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from varied sources including GPS, CAD, geodatabases, raster imagery, and web mapping services. Additionally, you will be required to perform spatial analyses, compute environmental impacts, maintain several different map sets, design and update GIS databases, and assist with the creation of web applications. Daily tasks will also include assisting in the operation, file creation, and download of GPS equipment.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS or related field
  • 0+ years of experience 
  • Previous internship preferred
  • Knowledge of ESRI application suite specifically ArcPro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Enterprise, and Survey123 (experience is strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages is strongly preferred (Python, Arcade, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with data management in geodatabases, SQL Server, and other relational databases
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Server
  • Knowledge of geodatabase creation and general database principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated team
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively communicate, speak, and write professionall
  • Desire to work in a potentially fast paced environment, while maintaining scheduled tasks, troubleshooting issues, and developing solutions
