The Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, leases, financing, and closing documents
  • Manage zoning approvals, land use applications, variances, and municipal entitlements
  • Work closely with planning boards, zoning authorities, and government agencies
  • Conduct legal due diligence, including title reviews, environmental considerations, and compliance checks
  • Ensure projects meet all local, state, and federal legal requirements
  • Support dispute resolution, tax appeals, and litigation matters alongside external counsel
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal strategy related to development opportunities

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Licensed attorney in good standing
  • 7-10 years of commercial real estate, land use and zoning experience

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal research skills
  • Experience with developers and municipal agencies
