Description
Under the general supervision of the Planning Administrator, assists with planning and development projects such as research, analysis, preparing plans, reports, studies and presentation of data.
Principal Duties
  1. Assist with implementing the City's Comprehensive Plan, small area plans, and other planning projects.
  2. Participate in the preparation of planning-related reports, studies, special projects, and research.
  3. Assist with outreach, public engagement, and meeting facilitation, including virtual methods. Assist in promoting public education and awareness of urban planning.
  4. Assist internal and external customers by providing information concerning city planning, growth, and development trends.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Currently enrolled undergraduate student in urban planning, urban design, architecture, or related field. Proven written and oral communication abilities. Ability to comprehend and apply multiple ordinances and policies. Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all public interactions.
Preferred:
Currently enrolled graduate student in urban planning, urban design, architecture, or related field.
