Position Title: Social Media and Marketing Intern
Schedule Details: Monday - Thursday; 12-20 hours per week
Location: Baltimore, MD -
In-office internship
This is an unpaid internship.
Requirements:
Experience and/or Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
Required:
- Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms
- Comfortable on camera and experienced with short-form video content creation and basic editing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinker with a proactive, self-starter mindset
Preferred:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design software
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Buffer)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
- Prior experience or coursework in marketing, healthcare communications, or community outreach
- Genuine passion for disability services, mental health, or social impact work
Clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.
Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
