A Google Motion Graphics Internship is a temporary position where students or recent graduates work with Google's creative teams to design and animate visual content. Interns typically collaborate on projects like explainer videos, promotional materials, and digital assets for various Google products. This role helps interns gain hands-on experience in motion design, storytelling, and working with industry-standard tools, while also learning about Google's workflows and culture. The internship usually lasts a few months and is an opportunity to build a professional portfolio and network with experienced designers.

What types of projects and collaborations can interns expect during a Google Motion Graphics internship?

As a Google Motion Graphics intern, you will typically work on a variety of projects ranging from promotional videos and educational animations to UI motion studies. Interns often collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring concepts to life and ensure visual consistency across Google products. You may also participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute to team critiques, and receive mentorship from experienced motion graphic artists, which can accelerate your professional growth and networking within the company.

To thrive as an intern in Google Motion Graphics, foundational skills in graphic design, animation, and visual storytelling are essential, typically backed by coursework or a portfolio demonstrating these abilities.
