Job description

Position Summary
The Pensacola Ice Flyers are seeking motivated, dedicated and eager interns to join the Game Day Operations Team for the 2026-27 Season. This entry-level internship will provide hands-on exposure to the industries of sports management, event management, sports marketing and ticket sales/operations.
This is a part-time, temporary role that will encompass the 2026-27 season (approximately September 2026 - May 2027).
This internship can coincide with either the Fall 2026 semester or Spring 2027 semester, however, interns are encouraged to continue their internship for the duration of the season. If additional hours are needed to meet requirements for academic programs that provide credit for completion of the internship; interns will be scheduled for office hours outside of game days to fulfill their program's obligations.
This position requires various day, night, and weekend hours, specifically with game day responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Be available for all Ice Flyers home games
• Be present and prepared to work for every assigned shift
• Assist Ice Flyers staff in preparing the Pensacola Bay Center for the public
• Always provide exceptional customer service to fans throughout games
• Execute activations both on and off ice to enhance fan engagement/entertainment, sponsor fulfillments, and marketing opportunities
• Coordinate pre-game ceremonies including (but not limited to) National Anthem, Presentation of Colors, and Puck Drop
• Manage chuck-a-puck and 50/50 sales
• Attend and represent the team at community events
• Oversee mascot appearances and fan interaction schedule
• Monitor crowd engagement and adjust entertainment elements accordingly
• Support the social media team with real-time content during games
• Maintain organized documentation of game day activities and timelines
• Assist with post-game cleanup and equipment storage.
