Job description

Crane Operators

Crane Operators at Cooper Marine - Terminal on the Mobile, AL waterfront support stevedoring and terminal operations by primarily servicing and operating land based and barge mounted cranes. Will also be working and maintaining barges, docks, equipment, and more at the direction of the crew foreman.

Duties include loading and unloading ships and barges efficiently and safely and servicing/fueling cranes and equipment. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of crane systems and assist with troubleshooting and repairs, instruct and train deckhands and crane operators in training, submit required daily inspections, inspect and change cables and rigging, keep good housekeeping, order and maintain stock of supplies from warehouse.

  • Strong commitment to a safe, team oriented culture
  • TWIC and Alabama State Docks Badge, and valid driver's license required
  • Physically able to work in the outdoors and climb ladders
