Job Summary:
The Adjunct Instructor for Medical Assisting supports student success across CCD’s Medical Assisting Program. This position is responsible for teaching medical assisting and Phlebotomy courses. This may include lecture, lab and internship courses. Teaching assignments may include online, in-person, daytime and evening course
The position reports to the Medical Assisting/Phlebotomy Program Chair and works collaboratively with faculty and staff to align teaching with program outcomes and college expectations.

Competencies/KSAs:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: An associate degree or higher in medical assisting or a related field and a current industry recognized credential or certification such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA.
Experience: At least 4000 hours work experience related to the field within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of teaching experience in the field.
