Inside Sales Representative โ€“ Vehicle Division

The Inside Sales Representative plays an important role in supporting our Vehicle customers and sales team from order entry through delivery. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers while working closely with Sales, Operations, Materials, Scheduling, Shipping, and other internal teams to keep orders moving and customers informed.

This is more than an order-entry role. Youโ€™ll build relationships with customers, solve problems, coordinate across departments, and help ensure we deliver on our commitments. Youโ€™ll also have opportunities to get outside the office through customer visits, industry trade shows, and other sales activities.

Job Details
  • Enter and maintain customer orders within our ERP system, ensuring order information is complete and accurate.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery expectations, backorders, product availability, and other account needs.
  • Proactively monitor open orders and communicate updates, changes, or potential delays to customers.
  • Work closely with Operations, Materials, Scheduling, Shipping, Product, and other internal teams to track orders, verify material availability, and resolve issues.
  • Identify potential order or supply concerns and coordinate internally to find solutions and minimize customer impact.
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives with day-to-day account needs, customer requests, follow-up, and sales activities.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers and gain an understanding of their business and product needs.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns with a professional, solutions-focused approach and follow issues through resolution.
  • Participate in customer visits and meetings, both alongside the sales team and independently as appropriate.
  • Represent Genesis at industry trade shows, customer events, and other sales-related activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information within company systems.
  • Collaborate with the Vehicle team to identify opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, account coordination, sales support, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with both customers and internal teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple customers, orders, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership of customer needs through resolution.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively follow up with multiple departments to obtain information and drive action.
  • Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel; ERP experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to learn Genesis products, manufacturing processes, and customer applications.
  • Proactive, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable building relationships at multiple levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
