To thrive as a Forensic Science Intern, you need a solid background in biology, chemistry, or criminal justice, often supported by progress toward a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, forensic databases, and evidence management systems is typically expected. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills help interns excel in both independent and collaborative tasks. These competencies are vital for accurate evidence handling, supporting investigations, and ensuring reliable results in forensic analysis.

What types of projects or hands-on experiences can I expect during a Forensic Science Internship in the summer?

During a summer Forensic Science Internship, you can expect to work on a variety of hands-on projects such as assisting with evidence analysis, participating in mock crime scene investigations, and learning to use laboratory equipment under supervision. You will likely collaborate closely with forensic scientists, lab technicians, and sometimes law enforcement personnel, gaining exposure to real-world protocols and teamwork in a professional lab environment.

What is a Forensic Science Internship?

A Forensic Science Internship is a temporary, practical training opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in forensic science.
