Be the Best Hospice Grief Counselor You Can Be
If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:
  • Master's degree in counseling or related field, with documented training in grief, loss, and bereavement
  • 2+ years of counseling and bereavement experience
  • Eligible or certified in Thanatology (CT/FT), preferred
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
  • Passion for compassionate care and alignment with our values and mission

Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate counseling and psychoeducation in grief, loss, and bereavement to support patients, families, and community members through anticipatory and post-death grief processes.
  • Develop and implement individualized bereavement care plans using evidence-based practices, facilitating support through individual, family, and group sessions (in-person, virtual, or telephonic).
  • Collaborate across departments and community partners to deliver grief-related programming, workshops, memorial services, and educational materials.
  • Document services accurately in EMR systems and track psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual changes to ensure consistent, high-quality care and follow-up.
  • Support team development by mentoring interns, leading educational initiatives, and participating in committees, crisis support, and special projects to strengthen grief care across the continuum.
