Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Video Editor to join our Supervising Production team located at the Multimedia working .
Summary:
Responsible for working with project leads to grasp the best understanding of the project goals to produce the highest quality video edit possible per project.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner

* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Explains various aspects of programs, promotions, benefits, rewards and or requirements to internal and external customers, citizens, etc.
  • Edits, renders, formats and packages video and photography for use on department projects
- Edits video projects to select the best camera angles
  • Interviews subject matters interviews and coverage footage that relate to video scripts
  • Attends video shoots when available to help film certain angles properly for editing
  • Performs all video editing duties
* Creates entertaining and compelling videos, graphics and photography
  • Conducts interviews on and off camera for content development
  • Provides guidance and assists producers with film angles that would add substance to projects during pre-production and production stages
  • Assists in the maintenance, use, distribution and storage of all video, audio, lighting, photography and equipment
  • Ensures quick video editing turnaround as requested
  • Researches and implements new editing techniques for projects
  • Ingests, selects, saves media properly
- Creates video loops of footage as requested
  • Searches for footage needs on current server
  • Assists in video metadata tagging as needed
  • Assists in capturing, logging, and organizing of video and photography
  • Creates video links for review and uploads video in iPad as requested
* Creates initiatives and visual assets designed to drive relevant, targeted traffic to Chickasaw Nation sites
  • Assists in DVD duplications
  • Captures broll needs as requested
  • Monitors areas within the Chickasaw Nation for news, programs, events, activities, etc. for distribution of information to the public
  • Assists with video shoots, as needed
  • Prepares weekly reports
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
