Position Summary

Full-time positions at Clovis Community College are not remote positions and require a physical presence on campus to fulfill duties and college-related responsibilities.
Under indirect supervision, conceptualize and produce professional marketing materials. Coordinates and executes all physical marketing and event production activities for Clovis Community College. Develops event-specific promotional graphics, signage; manages event logistics for marketing; and ensures real-time responsiveness during events.

Duties & Responsibilities

Concept and Production

  • Conceptualizes, plans, designs, and produces a wide range of specialized graphic and/or illustrative material, to institutional publications, marketing/communication collateral, and other print/digital materials, as appropriate.

Production Process

  • Helps in the production process; selects appropriate production media and materials, such as ink and paper; inspects proofs for accuracy and adherence to appropriate production standards before gaining final approval from Director of Communication and Marketing for print.

  • Manage production schedules and logistics for marketing materials and event promotions.

  • Respond to emergent real-time event marketing needs, signage production, and logistics support.

  • Manage merchandise production and ordering for events and promotional campaigns.

Brand Compliance

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with institutional branding, quality, and regulatory guidelines.

Accessibility

  • Ensure compliance with ADA accessibility standards in all event signage and marketing materials.

Client liaison

  • Ability to assist department and college staff, contractors, and vendors, in identifying and developing graphic, communication and event solutions to specific communication needs and problems

Strategic Planning

  • Participates in production and/or marketing planning group sessions and meetings, on a project basis.

  • Teaches/Demonstrates and advises graphic design interns/student workers on new methods/techniques used in creation of graphics.

  • Stay current on emerging marketing trends and technologies.

  • Conduct internal professional development training sessions.

  • Collaborate actively with Communications and Marketing team members.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing theory and strategy, including audience targeting, engagement design, and integrated promotional planning.

  • Ability to rapidly create engaging marketing collateral.

  • Strong organizational skills for multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Supervisory and mentoring skills.

  • Problem-solving and flexibility in event production.

  • ADA compliance knowledge for marketing signage.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Frequent evening and weekend hours may be required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a closely related field OR equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Marketing, Communications, or related field and two years of experience.

  • Photography experience.

  • Certification in event marketing or experiential marketing.

  • Completion of FEMA ICS-100 training.

  • ADA accessibility compliance training.

  • Large-format printing and event merchandising experience.

  • Membership in marketing or event production industry organizations.
