Job description

Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs

Build Our Future Together: The Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs at Regeneron is responsible for advancing the company’s public policy priorities through strategic engagement with U.S. federal policymakers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic federal advocacy plans to advance Regeneron’s public policy priorities and initiatives, focusing on patient access and innovation issues.
  • Lead engagement with federal legislators, administration officials, and regulators to proactively shape policy outcomes, serving as a key advocate to House Democratic members and staff, including the Energy & Commerce Committee.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant policy developments to provide strategic guidance and updates to internal stakeholders, leveraging strong knowledge of issues affecting the biopharmaceutical industry and policymaking processes.
  • Partner with Regeneron Policy and Alliance leads to help internal stakeholders incorporate federal policy implications into business and corporate objectives.
  • Engage with trade associations, various organizations, and policy influencers to shape the external environment and elevate Regeneron’s policy perspectives in collective advocacy efforts.
  • Support development of advocacy materials, including policy content and talking points, in partnership with cross‑functional teams, as well as memoranda for senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public policy, law, political science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in Congress, a regulatory or policy advocacy organization, or government relations.
  • Strong understanding of government affairs, public policy, and the patient, provider, and health care organization landscape, and knowledge of the health care system and key policies affecting the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex and changing policy and business issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategy and execution skills with a proven track record of working collaboratively to advance policy objectives.
Location

Washington, D.C. Hybrid: 4 days per week on site.

Salary Range

$216,100.00 – $360,200.00 annually (Canada). The final offer will be determined within the relevant range based on the country of employment, specific role level, and your skills and experience.
