Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Our Product Quality Engineering team supports manufacturing excellence across our Boise fab. We work closely with partners across the factory to supervise product performance, drive process stability, and ensure the reliability needed for world-class semiconductor production. We thrive in a fast-moving environment where data, collaboration, and problem-solving make a daily impact!
As a Product Quality Engineer, you will protect the stability of our processes and the quality of our products. You'll investigate yield and reliability issues, define standard procedures, apply statistical tools, and support audits that strengthen our quality systems. Your work will directly influence product performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term manufacturing success.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with multi-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor and report quality metrics including DPM, yield variation, and reliability performance
  • Troubleshoot wafer-fab problems, perform root-cause analysis, and manage defect and excursion investigations
  • Evaluate products to confirm performance against design requirements and recommend process or equipment adjustments
  • Define and standardize SOPs and apply statistical tools to monitor process deviations

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Physics, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor quality, manufacturing, or process engineering
  • Familiarity with semiconductor process flows and failure analysis methods
  • Experience with statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, regression analysis, or deviation-management systems
  • Strong ability to analyze data, communicate findings, and coordinate across teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Physics, or related engineering field
  • Internship or project experience in semiconductor or electronics industries
  • Experience with yield analysis tools, reliability assessments, or WLR methodologies
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or audit procedures
  • ASQ CQE or similar quality certification
