Job description

Overview
In this position, you will work closely with clients to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS technology to their business, and help shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. You will provide solutions and thought leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and support its development and growth into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company.
The contributions you make will support our Defense and Intel customers. The work you do will enable customers to make meaningful decisions by leveraging location intelligence.
The teams you will work with are collaborative and forward leaning. They are problem solvers, listeners, facilitators, guides, and trusted advisers to thousands of ArcGIS users making a difference. We will benefit from the experience of working together as part of an extensive network of industry and technology experts.
Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position. This position would be onsite with a customer at Ft. Belvoir.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform
  • Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices to customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to help them make better decisions
  • Identify the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in Esri's enterprise platform and services
  • Develop and present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations
  • Collaborate with customer IT organizations to align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology enterprise
  • Work independently and as a team to execute project tasks, deliver services, and implement solutions
  • Grow expertise in broad range of ArcGIS software components and business contexts

Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Eagerness to work closely with customers to solve interesting problems
  • Professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, server, and on-line)
  • Proven experience leveraging Esri's software capabilities including mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management, and developer APIs
  • Pro-actively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers, specifically in the Defense and Intel domain
  • Advanced ArcGIS Platform Configuration skills
  • Advanced Programming and scripting experience with Python, Arcade, and/or HTML/JavaScript
  • Knowledge in modeling and managing logical and topological network data
  • System administration experience on Windows
  • Active TS Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Master's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field
  • Domain experience around Defense and Intelligence content workflows
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
  • System administration experience on Linux and Kubernetes
  • Experience taking systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Understanding of IT integration concepts such as databases, web services, webhooks, mobile devices configurations, web browsers, IT system architecture concepts

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$107,120-$183,040 USD
