Laitram, LLC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter with experience in the IT, Data Tech and Engineering space to join our team in the Greater New Orleans area. This individual will develop and execute proactive strategies to attract and retain top talent for key positions across the Laitram family of companies. The recruiter will build and maintain a strong bench of qualified candidates to meet both current and future staffing needs. Partnering closely with hiring managers, this role will define recruitment strategies, assess talent needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Success in this position will require developing a deep understanding of the functions and markets we recruit for, building strong recruiting networks and relationships, and leveraging innovative sourcing techniques to identify and engage high-caliber candidates.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned openings, with a strong focus on IT, technical, and other specialized roles, from intake meeting through offer acceptance.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand technical skill requirements, team structure, business needs, and success profiles; develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for each search.
• Proactively source top technical talent through a variety of channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, talent databases, networking, referrals, user groups, conferences, and other recruiting events.
• Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for key technical skill areas such as software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, ERP, systems, and other hard-to-fill roles.
• Screen and assess candidates through phone, video, and onsite interviews, evaluating technical background, relevant experience, problem-solving ability, and alignment with company culture.
• Coordinate interview logistics across multiple stakeholders and calendars, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for candidates and interview teams.
• Serve as a strategic recruiting partner to hiring managers by advising on candidate qualifications, market trends, compensation competitiveness, and hiring strategies for technical talent.
• Deliver a strong candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and professional representation of Laitram's values and employer brand.
• Manage relationships with external recruiting vendors, staffing partners, and search firms to support technical hiring needs while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company standards.
• Support early-career technical talent initiatives, including internships, university partnerships, and participation in campus or community recruiting events focused on IT, engineering, or related fields.
• Represent Laitram in the community and at industry events to strengthen employer brand awareness and attract technical talent.
• Stay current on recruiting trends, labor market conditions, sourcing strategies, and recruiting technologies, especially those impacting IT and technical hiring.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, tools, and best practices to enhance recruiting efficiency, candidate quality, and hiring outcomes for technical roles.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer support.
• Previous experience recruiting for IT, Technical, Engineering, or other specialized professional roles.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruiting databases, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools to identify and engage technical talent.
• Strong ability to understand technical job requirements and translate them into effective sourcing and screening strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with hiring managers, technical leaders, and candidates.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of creative and innovative sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and networking strategies.
• Willingness to travel occasionally overnight for recruiting events, training seminars, conferences, or campus outreach.
Desired Qualifications
• Previous agency recruiting experience, especially in IT, technical, or professional staffing/search.
• Experience recruiting within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or technology-driven environment.
• Familiarity with technical roles in areas such as software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, data/analytics, systems administration, or business systems.
• Familiarity with behavioral interviewing techniques and structured selection processes.
• Experience supporting hard-to-fill, niche, or high-demand technical searches.
