We are looking for an Intern to work with ARCO's IT Support & Cybersecurity Teams in our Brentwood, MO office. As an IT Intern, you will assist all areas of the Technology department including responding to support tickets, maintaining technical documentation, and assisting with account creation. You will also be responsible to research email threats, learn how to analyze logs to identify threats, and work closely with our infrastructure team to remediate issues detected within our environment. This is a great opportunity for an intern that is energetic, likes working closely with others, and has a desire to help protect the ARCO organization.

The internship program in ARCO's Technology Department is designed to provide hands-on on enterprise environments in a practical setting. Students get an opportunity to gain insight and meaningful experience and develop additional soft skills necessary while working at ARCO. Work part time during the school year while attending college classes. Full time working hours available in the summer.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Respond and resolve user support information technology requests
  • Maintain technical documentation of various systems and software programs
  • Deploy new hardware, software, and upgrade existing installations
  • Research solutions to new problems and better solutions to existing problems
  • Participate in implementing IT-based projects
  • Provisioning iOS and Android Mobile Devices
  • Inventorying assets
  • Handling Tier 1 Support Incidents and Requests through Service Now
  • Imaging Workstations
  • Assist with account creation
  • Promote and maintain the Security Awareness Training program
  • Responds to cyber incidents, performing routine analysis using security tools
  • Review tickets and emails submitted by other employees, that appear suspicious, to determine if they are malicious.
  • Utilize various tools and systems' dashboard to generate reports and analyze the information to further remediate and help improving the security posture.
  • Provides general support to aide in the completion of department tasks, projects, and programs
  • Participate in planning and deploying Security Incident Response training exercises

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university or technical program in one of the following or a related technical field Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity
  • Must be enrolled in or completed a server or networking class in college
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and proofreading skills
  • Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with other company personnel
  • Proficiency in the Office 365 suite of products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and operate efficiently and effectively and have good documentation and communication skills
  • Must be able to work part to full time hours out of our Brentwood, MO office
