Job description

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineering Associate supports the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems across a variety of engineering projects. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers. Responsibilities include preparing engineering designs, assisting with project execution, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, components, and engineering solutions
  • Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Support the design of power distribution, control systems, lighting, and low-voltage electrical systems
  • Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and basic system analysis
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Support project teams during installation, inspections, and site visits
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and project records
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and project engineers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 0–2 years of experience in electrical engineering, design, testing, maintenance, or project support (internship experience is a plus)
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards
  • Familiarity with electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or other engineering software is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous learning
Preferred Skills
  • Basic knowledge of power systems, electrical protection, and control systems
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or industrial automation concepts is a plus
  • Understanding of electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Working Conditions
