Senior Data Analyst - Eden Prairie, MN - 2373646


EMPLOYER:    Optum Services Inc.

JOB TITLE:    Data Analyst Senior

LOCATION:    1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Position reports to the Eden Prairie, MN office and allows for partial telecommuting)

DUTIES:    Lead end-to-end analytics projects-defining scope, success metrics, deliverables, and timelines-and translate technical concepts into clear insights for diverse audiences; Collaborate with cross-functional analytics leads to align payer/provider data strategy for forecasting, operational analytics, and machine-learning initiatives; Influence senior leadership to adopt new analytics products, processes, and data-driven approaches; Serve as the department's Tableau subject-matter specialist: design, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards that inform business strategy and governance policies; Maintain and enhance production analytics programs using Agile methodologies, ensuring sprint deliverables, release cadence, and work measurement compliance; Design, refine, and optimize ETL workflows and data preparation steps to enable fast, accurate modeling and reporting; Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines (across enterprise platforms, SharePoint, NAS drives, etc.); Mentor and peer-review junior analysts and interns; develop and deliver hands-on training sessions on Tableau, Alteryx, Python, and reporting best practices; Lead technical workshops for junior analysts and present new learnings, technology updates, and best practices through knowledge-share sessions to the broader analytics community at the company; and Ensure all data storage, processing, and reporting comply with HIPAA and internal security standards. Position reports to the Eden Prairie, MN office and allows for partial telecommuting.    

REQUIREMENTS:    Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field plus three years of progressive analytics experience in healthcare or regulated environments. Position requires 3 years of experience in each of the following: Data visualization including Tableau Desktop &Server or Power BI; Advanced querying SQL; Optimization on Snowflake, Databricks, or MS SQL Server; ETL tools including Alteryx Designer, SSIS, ADF, SAS, Talend, or Informatica ; Scrum or Kanban teams using Rally, Jira, or Confluence; Modeling of large healthcare datasets; Automation and scheduling in bigdata platforms and cloud environments; Analyzing Specialty Pharmacy data, including drug-level analytics and patient adherence metrics; and HIPAA-compliant reports, analytics, and documentation delivery . Additionally, the position requires 1 year of experience in the following: Object-oriented programming language including Python for data engineering and production scripting.

RATE OF PAY: $97,032.00-$110,628.00/per year
