Job description

Will work with division engineers to understand needs and gather information. Must have the ability to understand and discover new insights in large structured and unstructured data sets. Must have knowledge of machine learning, analytical, visualization and programming.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent will be considered
  • Experience with SQL, R, Python, MATLAB and other programming tools preferred
  • Experience creating data visualizations preferred
  • Participate in and manage multiple projects which will require interaction with vendors, division personnel and IS team
  • Analytical skills in mathematics, statistics and machine learning
  • Ability to understand and discover new insights in large structured and unstructured data sets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, coordination and organizational skills
  • Solutions oriented, goal driven analytical person who likes to work on teams and get things done. Should be self-starter.
 
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Spotfire
  • Experience with Hadoop and other big data tools
