Job Title: Staff Clinician                                                                                                 Department: Domestic Violence Clinical Services

Reports to: Director of Clinical Services & Community Outreach                 Effective Date: July 2026

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 25 hours a week 
Remote: NO

Job Summary:

The Staff Clinician serves as the clinical resource for the Domestic Violence Program, providing trauma-informed consultation, assessment, advocacy, and clinical guidance to support survivors of domestic violence, interpersonal violence, coercive control, and related trauma. Working closely with the Director of Domestic Violence and program staff, the Staff Clinician strengthens trauma-informed practices through case consultation, risk assessment, clinical recommendations, and coordinated referrals to community behavioral health and supportive services.

This position supports advocates, staff, and interns by providing clinical expertise, guidance on complex cases, and education that enhances survivor-centered services. The Staff Clinician also maintains clinical documentation, data tracking, and reporting requirements to support program outcomes and compliance.

The ideal candidate is committed to promoting equity, recognizing the impact of culture, identity, and systemic barriers, and empowering survivors through a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that honors self-determination, safety, and dignity.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-informed clinical consultation, assessment, advocacy, and limited short-term supportive interventions as appropriate.
  • Serve as the lead clinical resource for the Domestic Violence Program by providing consultation, case support, and guidance on complex participant needs.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and recommendations to support participant care planning and referrals.
  • Provide clinical consultation to advocates, interns, and program staff regarding trauma, mental health, coercive control, and domestic violence.
  • Coordinate referrals to behavioral health, psychiatric, substance use, and community-based services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, outcome tracking, and grant reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Domestic Violence and program leadership to strengthen trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.
  • Provide community education and professional consultation related to domestic violence and trauma as appropriate.
  • Participate in program meetings, trainings, and special projects.
  • Uphold the mission and values of YWCA Central Massachusetts by empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting justice and dignity for all.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Multilingual/multicultural strongly preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Maintain an active license to practice in MA (LCSW). 
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as all communities of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
