Job Title

Qualifications:

Required-BS in Chemical, Biochemical or Mechanical Engineering. 2-4 yrs+ Experience (Some Co-op/internship experience acceptable but required 1+yr real world). Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel. Preferred experience with DeltaV, PI data historian, SBOL.

General lab experience (how to be functional/comfortable in lab environment) with additional knowledge in fermentation and/or cell culture for purpose of virus or recombinant protein production is required. Preferred experience with SOP and technical document writing. Relevant experience in a cGMP environment preferred, relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Flexibility with the Shift work.

Responsibilities:

Process development activities for a vaccines related drug substance intermediate. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in/drive fermentation process development of proteins at lab and pilot scales: design and trouble shoot experiments, analyze data and present the findings to the team in the form of presentations. The candidate will also have the opportunity to author technical documents and SOPs and work with customers at manufacturing scale. Candidate will be part of a dynamic cross-matrix team of scientists and engineers.

Comments/Special Instructions:

Fully on-site position w/occasional shift work. Comfortable with Shift work... 6-2am, 2p-10p, 10-6am. 1 Week Shifts and then 1 week day shift (analyzation week), then back to shift week. Comfortable in lab setting/Fermentation knowledge.
