About the job

As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing large datasets, uncovering insights, and driving data-driven decision-making within our organization. What youโ€™ll do
  • Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
  • Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
  • Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
  • Generate actionable insights for business improvements, manipulating data and drawing insights from large data sets
  • Create and use advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics, such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Create data architectures
  • Visualize and present data to stakeholders
Education & Experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, or statistical modeling.
  • Demonstrated expertise gained through relevant internships, coursework, and personal projects that highlight your skills and a strong dedication to the field of data science.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with an emphasis on their use for scalable data analysis.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
Required Skills / Certifications
  • Competency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, along with experience working with databases to retrieve and store data.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including data cleaning, exploration and visualization.
  • A foundation in machine learning with experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
  • The ability to approach complex data problems, devise solutions, and successfully implement them within project deadlines and objectives.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
  • Fluency in programming languages (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL)
  • Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
  • Awareness of ethical considerations in data science, including privacy, bias, and fairness in algorithms.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Data Science or closely related field
  • Recognized certifications in the field of Data Science
Security clearance
  • You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) โ€“ US Citizenship required
COMPENSATION

$150,000-$200,000 per year based on skills, experience
