Facilities Support HVAC Internship - QuikTrip Corporation
Location: Various store locations around Denver.
Department: Facilities Maintenance
Compensation: $23.33/hour
Schedule: Part-time or full-time, up to 40 hours/week; schedule coordinated around school commitments
Duration: 90-day internship (with potential extension)
Position Overview
QuikTrip is seeking motivated HVAC students to join our Facilities Support Internship Program. Interns will work alongside experienced QuikTrip technicians to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC-R systems and retail equipment across store locations. This internship provides hands-on technical experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world service operations within a major retail organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in onboarding and basic technical training.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and various retail equipment under supervision.
  • Join ride-along mentoring days with experienced technicians.
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow all safety protocols.
  • Report directly to an assigned QuikTrip Supervisor.
  • Use QuikTrip-provided uniforms and follow company procedures at all times.
  • Handle all work product and materials in accordance with QuikTrip policies.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited post-secondary HVAC program.
  • Completion of at least 16 weeks (or first four classes) of the HVAC program.
  • Possession of a Section 608 Technician Certification (EPA 608 License).
  • Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle report (MVR).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid automobile liability insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
  • Willingness to follow all instructions from the QuikTrip Supervisor and comply with company policies.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with no guarantee of minimum hours.

Additional Details
  • Interns are considered independent contractors, not employees.
  • Mileage reimbursement is not provided for personal vehicle use.
  • QuikTrip provides up to four uniform shirts.
  • All work product created during the internship becomes the property of QuikTrip.
  • Either party may terminate the internship with seven days' written notice.
