Job description

Under the direction of the Application & Integration Manager, this role will support two key areas of the business: our planning, forecasting, and budgeting application and our Salesforce platform.

The person in this position will become the primary technical owner of the companys planning tool. They will learn the existing application, maintain and enhance its functionality, and ensure it works effectively with other systems in the companys technology environment.

This role will also develop custom Salesforce solutions and serve as the organizations Salesforce Administrator. The ideal candidate can write code, troubleshoot technical issues, understand business needs, and translate those needs into practical system improvements.

Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Business Planning Application

  • Become the primary technical expert and owner of the companys business planning, forecasting, and budgeting application.
  • Learn and maintain the applications existing PHP codebase.
  • Develop enhancements and new functionality based on changing business needs.
  • Integrate the planning application with Salesforce and other systems in the companys application environment.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Work with business partners to identify opportunities to improve the application and its supporting workflows.
  • Manage and prioritize a pipeline of application enhancements.

Salesforce Development and Administration

  • Design, develop, test, and implement custom Salesforce applications and enhancements.
  • Build solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other relevant technologies.
  • Serve as the organizations Salesforce Administrator.
  • Manage user setup and onboarding, permissions, configuration, and routine platform maintenance.
  • Investigate and resolve Salesforce issues and provide ongoing support to users.
  • Monitor the platform to help ensure applications and workflows operate reliably.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Recommend improvements that simplify processes and make Salesforce easier for teams to use.

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Five or more years of experience as a software programmer, application developer, or web engineer
  • At least three years of Salesforce development experience, preferably including Lightning Web Components
  • Experience with Apex and Visualforce
  • Working knowledge of Java, Python, HTML, and CSS
  • Ability to understand, maintain, and enhance an existing PHP codebase
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience working with nontechnical stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions

Work Environment: Standard professional office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site 23 days per week, with specific in-office days determined by business needs, including collaboration, planning sessions, training activities, and other team or leadership meetings.
