If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Data Scientist Intern your key area of responsibility will be the design and construction of new metrics and data models using prototypes, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analyses.

This internship position works closely with a team of data scientists, product managers, and other technical professionals to analyze trends, enable data driven decision-making, and produce effective customer-facing products.

The opportunity:
  • 4-8 month work-term beginning January 2027.
  • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.
  • Your first week at Geotab begins with 'GEO Launch' - a one-week Employee Orientation. Click here to learn more!

  • This posting is for an existing vacancy.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Pull data sets and assemble presentations and visualization for strategic customers and early adopters of new or in progress features
  • Assist in dashboarding and visualizations for coverage and accuracy metrics for data science models
  • Test the performance of data-driven products and make recommendations for improving Geotab's product suite
  • Contribute to the sprint development and review cycle within your  assigned pillar's data science team
  • Create algorithms and predictive models to extract information required to solve complex business problems.
  • Generate queries from Geotab's Big Data Infrastructure from Data Warehousing database (i.e. Google BigQuery).
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Working towards a degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science
  • Interest or experience in sensor data and data cleaning
