About the Role:

As the Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in

  • Developing advanced marketing measurement capabilities that unlock our company vision to transform the measure of marketing success. You will be at the forefront of developing and deliveringdifferentiatedAIassistedmarketing data science and measurement solutions focused on maximizing profitable enterprise revenue and customer value for our clients.

  • Partnering with driven, solution-minded experts, business leaders, analysts, and scientists atOvativein engaging with clients, and defining approaches and road maps for solutions to client problems.

  • Technical mentoring of junior data scientists, guiding their algorithmic, testing methodological approaches, and reviewing their code.

  • Working with technology leaders, productownersand engineers to convert novel solutions developed to scalable new services and productofferingsatOvative.

  • Being a part of an inclusive culture that inspires and motivates the team and attracts new, diverse technical talent to the organization.

Responsibilities of a Sr. Data Scientist:

  • Lead technical contributor in a high-performance data science & advanced analytics team, responsible for your team's productivity, operational excellence, and business impact

  • Drive value across multiple business verticals by leading the technical development and deployment of impactful and interpretable models

  • Partner closely with Engineering and Product Management to scale your team's innovative measurement solutions into product and service offerings

  • Provide mentoring, training, and other opportunities for effective technical development of data scientists

  • Assistwith technical parts of business development as needed, including RFP response,salesand conferencepresentationsusingAIassistancewhere applicable.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization to understandinternal stakeholder needs for trusted data science support

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experiencein data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field, with a strongtrack recordof delivering business value through technical innovation.

  • Proven success as atechnical contributor in high-performing data science teams, preferably withinproduct-centric or consulting environments.

  • Very Important: Ability to quickly learn and execute

  • Expertiseinadvanced statistical modeling and machine learning, with hands-on experiencepreferredin techniques such as:

  • Media Mix Modeling (MMM)

  • Incrementality Testing/ Causal Inference

  • AttributionModeling

  • CustomerAnalytics:Lifetime Value (CLV) Modeling,Segmentation

  • Generative AI Data Science

  • Proficiencyinthe following preferredprogramming and data environments:

  • Languages:SQL, and/or R or Python

  • Tools: Git, Docker,MLOps,POSITIDEs, cloud notebooks,Frameworks like Shiny,Streamlit,etc

  • Dataplatforms:BigQuery, Databricks

  • Familiarity withcloud infrastructure and deployment practices(e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure),MLOpspipelines, and containerizationis a plus.

  • Experience withBayesian/Probabilisticmodelingframeworks (e.g.,PyMC, Stan) is a plus.

  • Strongbusiness acumen, especially withindigital and traditional marketing domains; ability to translate data insights into clear strategic recommendations.

  • Excellent communicator: able to lead conversations withtechnical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior client partners and internal executives.

  • Demonstratedleadership and mentorship skills; able tothink independently,guide junior team members and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Bonus: Familiarity withGenerative AIapplications in marketing analytics (e.g., using LLMs for data summarization, content tagging, or creative testing insights).

Pay Transparency

AtOvative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus.Actualoffers are made with consideration for relevant experience andanticipatedimpact.Additionalbenefits information is provided below.

For ourSr. Data Scientistpositions, our compensation ranges from $90,000to $132,000, which is inclusive of a 20% bonus.
