Job description

Shipping & Receiving Clerk II


Location: Sturgeon Bay, WI

Schedule: Mon – Thur, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm + Fri, 8 am – 2 pm; Overtime as needed.

About the Role
Cadence, Inc. is seeking a reliable, experienced, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment while ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and strong communication across teams and logistics partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments. (pull product from stock or production, pack, label, international shipment documents, schedule transportation)
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with parcel and LTL freight carriers .
  • Enter inventory transactions in ERP system, maintaining lot traceability.
  • Complete cycle counts and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate inventory count.
  • Communicate with customer, suppliers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Light production support as necessary.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Resolve shipping/receiving issues quickly and effectively.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with shipping/receiving, inventory management systems, material handling equipment, weigh scales/APW, barcode scanners, label printers, ERP system and basic Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to navigate carrier systems (UPS, FedEx) and shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move boxes and materials regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack). Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
